I may be redundant but I totally love this book. After reading some in book 1, I know I can’t wait to starting reading this book.
Rev Malloy has a soft heart to rape victims since he was a victim himself. He experienced it and knew it in the first hand how hard is it for the victim. So when a brother asks his help to rescue his daughter from the traffickers, Rev didn’t even think twice. Though the club is trying to make every businesses they have legit, he will do everything to save and bring the girl back.
Annabel Percy is a politicians daughter. Where everybody recognize her where she and her family live, she likes being just an ordinary girl working at the veterinary clinic. But one bad judgement put her life in danger and changer her life forever. She was kidnapped, raped and sold to Mendoza, the lieutenant in one of the biggest drug cartel in Mexico. Abused and raped multiple times, she never thought she’ll be free from him again.
Rev and Annabel saved each other. They redeem each other. They found comfort on each other. Rev understood Annabel when others can’t even contemplate what she’s been thought. He found Annabel in her weakest and lowest point in life and never left her side.
These have been through a lot. When one drunken night, Annabel accidentally professed her feelings toward Rev, he freaked out. Although the feelings is mutual, Rev’s mind was clouded with doubt. Doubt that one day, she might leave him because of the life he have as a biker, that she might leave him because he can’t give what she used to have. Rev made a drastic decision without even confronting Annabel and that was the reason they were apart for months. Rev corrected his faults and claim what is his. Everything seems perfect until the club gets a threat from Mendoza.
The story is really good. I love it personally. It was kinda fast that they got engage at the same time they were back again but before the months that they were apart, they were living together under the same roof. Rev witnessed and have been there for Annabel when she was having nightmares. When Mendoza came in the picture again, Annabel didn’t even doubt that she will do everything to save Rev and to save herself. With everything they have been through together they deserve a HEA and they got it!
