This is the story of Sophie and Axel. The third installment in the Ride Series.
Axel and Sophie was mentioned in Sal and Kat’s book. Even in book 2, there is really something about them but I didn’t really know what is behind that story.
Sophie is Sal’s half-sister. She is extremely sheltered and from a well-off family. An awkward one night stand left them both confused. When she found out that she was pregnant, she was forced to leave and follows her brother, Sal, to Nevada. He parents are definitely against her pregnancy and wants her to get rid of the baby or else her parents will hurt everyone in the club. When she was in Nevada, she has been trying to tell Axel that she is pregnant until the last threat came and forced her to leave.
Axel is the Enforcer of The Knights MC. He met Sophie when he went to New York to watch an eye for Sal (during Sal’s grandparent’s funeral). They had a one night stand and he freaked out and left when he found out that Sophie was a virgin. Though he feels strongly for Sophie, he is still hesitant to make a move because one, she is young and two, she is Sal’s baby sister.
Thirteen months later, Axel found out where Sophie is through the tip of an ally club who saw her. As the two met, Axel just found out that he got a son and he is a father. And Sophie explained everything the reason why she left thinking that she is doing it for Axel, his brother and the club’s own good.
There story is not so complicated as the usual MC books and I like it. So far, most of the MC books that I’ve read, they are legal or trying to be legal and cleaning their act together. And I like that The Knights are doing the right thing. Don’t get me wrong, as the usual MC club, most of the times they take matters on their own hands and the Knight is no different.
Axel is like any heroes in the previous book which is alpha male, possessive, tough and bossy but when it comes to their loved ones, they are so loving and caring. And I also really like how they extend their helping hands to not just their family but extended family and that is when they help Jill when she moved to Nevada.
This may be an MC series but this book and so are the other books are sweet reads. Cannot go wrong when a romance book you are reading is dominated by a biker using his overbearing ways to convince a woman the she is his woman!
