I have read the previous books before and I was glad that Isabella has her own HEA.
We’ve meet Isabella “Izzy” in Searching for Beautiful – Genevieve and Wolfe’s story. Isabella is Gen’s twin sister. Aside from having the same beautiful face, they have nothing in common. Izzy made sure of that. She is what we call “black sheep” of the family.
6 years ago, Isabella and William “Liam” had an amazing unforgettable one-night stand. But their differences separates them. During that time, Liam is going to an academy to become a police while Isabella is just living the life she thought she wants. Living one day at a time, working odd jobs and travel again. She is fighting an inner battle against herself and sometimes found comfort through drugs.
They both know they have this connection that might be worth pursuing for, but Isabella just can’t give up one comfort she knew and she choose that safety. Since that night, Isabellalife has been in spiral downward and the comfort she thought became and addiction.
6 years later, 2 years sober, Isabella is working in Verily at Kinnections as receptionist and she enjoys it. Enjoys the new her, sober and finally find something that she is good with.
Liam, Devine to his partner and friends, has been working as a police officer at Verily. Getting tired of his dating life and although embarrassed he agreed to sign-up at Kinnections in hope to find his soul mate. When Stone and Devine arrived at Kinnections, just image the reaction to both Isabella and Liam when finally they’ve seen each other after 6 years. When Isabella and Liam finally got into a relationship, doubts, insecurities and fears creep in as Isabella thinks she is not enough for him. Who would want a girlfriend who used to be an addict? Liam tries to show to her that her past doesn’t matter. Isabella still can’t just ignore her thoughts that she isn’t good enough.
This book is all about second chances. Isabella and Liam given a second chance to love and Isabella, second chance at life. I love how Liam is being patient though he kinda blackmailed Isabella to go to dinner with him. And of course the puppies – Leia and Han – who of course gives them a chance to get closer again. I understand Isabella’s fears and concern. And I am just glad that she finally give in to what she really feels and that she finally believes that despite of her past, she also deserve better. She deserve to love and be loved by Liam.
This novella is a great way to end the series. I cannot wait to know who will be the next person to find “Earth Mother”.
