This is a second chance romance and friends-turn-to-lovers book.
Ryker and Piper has been friends since they were 8 year-old and that friendship turned so much more. Piper’s family is like Ryker’s second family when his family is in chaos.
Piper left Nevada years ago so he could make a life for himself and doesn’t want him to resent her for holding him back. Now she is back in Nevada after her mother passed away to help her Dad and revamp and reopen the shop her mom loved.
At first Ryker is standoffish and angry with Piper until an MC brother, Tag takes an interest in her. That is when Ryker takes a claim. They both know that Piper still has feelings for him and it never change and Ryker still feels the same though he still angry at her for leaving him.
I don’t have a problem reading about second chance romance but this book is beyond that. It is about moving on. Aside from the romance between Ryker and Piper, a good part of the book was about her Dad who lost his wife and struggling to live without the love of his life.
Like the other leads of the previous book, Piper and Ryker is no different. Piper is feisty and no push over while Ryker is one tough typical bad-ass biker. This book has more actions than the previous books.
But what I love most in this series is really the camaraderie of the characters on the previous books. I love reading all these bad ass, tough bikers who isn’t afraid to express their feelings to someone they love and take care of their own.
Really highly recommend this entire. series.
