Harper Connelly never expected to find herself outside of a tattoo parlor at one in the morning, summoning the nerve to take back her past. She's determined to forget her old life and is looking for an artist who can tattoo over the scars on her back.

Trent Andrews, local legend and owner of the Second Circle tattoo studio, has his own reasons for specializing in inking over scars. And in spite of her mysterious past and the difficult road ahead, he quickly realizes that Harper is funny, smart, and--under her ridiculously oversized clothing and SPF 100 sunscreen--totally hot. He's happy to take on the challenge of designing a meaningful and deadly full-back tattoo for her.

But when cryptic messages start appearing on Harper's phone, strange deliveries arrive at her door, and Second Circle is vandalized, Harper is convinced that her ex-boyfriend has tracked her down, and worse, that he knows about Trent. Running was the only thing that saved her last time, but now that she's started to put down roots in Miami, she'll have to decide if she can finally fight back instead.

It is confirmed! I am a sucker for ROMANTIC SUSPENSE novels. I have been putting this off reading this series and now that I’ve read it I feel like an idiot for waiting.

Harper Connelly is living safe under a new identity thousands of miles away from where she came from. Working in a café and with her only best friend, who knew a little bit of her story. Trying to get past of what happened, she found herself outside of a tattoo parlor hoping this well-known tattoo artist can help her.

Trent Andrews have had a taste being heart broken in the past because he wasn’t enough. Now, he is a local celebrity and owner of Second Circle tattoo parlor who specializes inking scars.

Harper connected to Trent in some ways that she never thought possible. Although she still have panic attacks, around him or every time he touches her, at the same time, it also gives her calm and comfort, and she felt safe for a very long time. Although Trent knew that there is a lot to learn about her, he realized that there’s more about her than what she was letting on. Just when everything seems right to both of them and Harper is getting herself back, here comes the past trying to rattle what improvement she have. Cryptic anagram messages starts appearing and that makes her question if is she really capable starting a new relationship with her past trying to catch up in the life she started in Miami.

Trent is such a boyfriend material. I love how patient he is in dealing with Harper especially when they first met. How understanding he is when Harper is about to have panic attacks and starts to freak out. Though there were times that Harper is having doubts and hesitant with the relationship they are building, Trent doesn’t stop pushing her and let her see what the two of them can have.

I love the second characters that are always for them too. Cujo, Drea, Pixie, Dred and Lia! They’re there when Harper feels alone in the new life she was trying to build. Book two is about Cujo and Drea and I just cannot wait.

I love the suspense! Though I would love the ex-boyfriend to be gone for good and not just jail time, but I’ll take it!

Please read this series! For those who are suckers for Romantic Suspense, SO WORTH IT!
