I love this series. It is one of my all-time favorite series.
Kiara Fitzpatrick AKA Taryn Malone is on the run. After what she have seen and endured, she is on survival mode. Given another name and identity, she became Taryn Malone, niece of Charlie Malone, the guy who found and saved her.
Jake Callaghan is the second of the seven Callaghan brothers. On the forefront, Jake just looks like any other people with a decent job. But him and his 6 other brothers are all retired highly trained Navy Seal.
Taryn is guarded. Jake is observant. And the night they met, Jake was intrigued. Taryn is not like all other girls. She doesn’t share much. Doesn’t talk about herself. That is what pushes Jake to be more observant and with the help of his brother Ian and all other brothers, he found out who she really is.
He already knew that Taryn will never stay. But with what happen when they night they were together, his chances to ask her to say is about none. But with the help of his family, they will never let that happen they will always have his back.
The night they were together and Jake freaked out, he just took off. And it just added Taryn’s resolve to never stay. She stayed long enough and she never does. Never did she know that the Callaghan’s are anticipating her move already. She ended up being in the care of the eldest Callaghan that she haven’t met yet. When she found out that he is Jake’s brother, she felt betrayed and took off. She reached the destination that Charlie prepared for her and she can’t be more happy with where she was staying. It was complete with all necessities and secured.
But that happiness and security was short lived. Just a few months later, her abductor found her. Again, she was back in fighting for her and her baby’s life. But this time, she was prepared. The Callaghan brothers are there and will be there for her.
Taryn is a fighter. And the Callaghan brothers are definitely her saviors.
I love this book after reading it. Sometimes it got me confused who is talking who. I am even worried the author will get into “ménage à trois”. But thankfully she didn’t. I am really a sucker for romantic suspense. And I love Callaghan’s family. They took care of what is theirs. And anybody that can stand with the rowdy Callaghan brothers are always welcome with open arms.

Abbie Zanders is a wife and mother of three (including a set of identical twins), born and raised in the mountains and valleys of Northeastern Pennsylvania. She has a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Though she has spent the last 25+ years developing financial software for healthcare-based companies, she has also held second jobs as a pub waitress, a restaurant dessert baker, a secretary, and a bread shelf stock girl.
Hobbies and interests include romance novels (all genres), 80's hair bands and heavy metal, muscle cars, and really big dogs.
A voracious reader, she carries both a Nook and a Kindle with her at all times, as well as several mini-sized notebooks to jot down ideas when inspiration strikes.
