I have met John Logan in The Deal book. He is Garrett's best friend and team mate. One of Briar University's hot hocky player. He have this idea that he has this feeling for his best friend's girlfriend. And he felt guilty for it. So everytime him, Garrett and Hannah are in the same place, he tried to exit and go somewhere. That is how he ends up in Grace Ivers' door.
Grace Ivers is a freshman at the university. When one night a hot hockey star knocking up in her room, she ended up babbling. And she tends to babble a lot. Due to Logan's fast exit, he forgot his phone. So, when he is about to call his friend or a campus cab, he ended up watching a movie - Die Hard 2 - with Grace and they ended up making out. Unfortunately for him, he was so into his release that he didn't notice that Grace didn't get hers. And to top it off, he fled like his a** is on fire.
When Logan realized that Grace lied to him (about her release), he wanted to see her to correct it. Their making out turned heavier until one night, Grace is willing to give her "V". But Logan freaked out. Aside from the pressure to getting what she is offering, he thought that he was using her as a distraction.
