After reading Alex, I feel like I need a light and funny read. And this book is just perfect and never failed me. This is the second installment of The Pierce Brothers/The Blue Moon series.
We have met Beckett in No More Secrets, Carter and Summer's story. He is the middle of the three Pierce brothers and happens to be the Mayor of Blue Moon Bend. During their early years, his brothers left the town and he went to law school. But after his father's death, Beckett witnessed how his community is. Helping his mother and their farm. After finishing law school, he went back to Blue Moon Bend and now being a mayor is how he give back to the community who were there when they were needed.
Gianna is a newbie in town. Just got divorced, she moved her entire family - her and her two kids, Aurora and Evan - to Blue Moon Bend where his father lives to open a yoga studio and start their new lives.
When Beckett first saw her, he was mesmerized over the glass window by the girl who was trying to do a headstand pose but fell and just laughed it off and tried again. But Beckett is not really looking for a potential relationship after the incident caused by the girl he has been dating for just a few weeks.
Gianna and Beckett meet in a most unfortunate situation. She was locked up inside the bathroom and was about to have an opening of her yoga studio. And came in her knight in shining armor, Beckett. Since then, both of them knew that there is this strong attraction and chemistry buzzing whenever they are in close proximity to each other.
Later Beckett found out that:
1. Gianna is his new tenant who is living at his guest house.
2. Gianna has two adorable kids.
3. Gianna is the daughter of his mom's new guy.
Though these two have kept reminding themselves and each other with these reasons, it seems that their mind and body doesn't seem to get the point. Until they decided to get it out of their system. Well, that fails because now, they are craving each other and can't get enough of each other. They tried to sneak around like teenagers but Beckett and Gianna are just torn when they can't freely hug or kiss or just be affectionate to each other.
An incident happened that made Gianna freaked out because of their sneaking. And that pushes Beckett to step-up his game and showed his family and her dad that they have been seeing each other now secretly for awhile.
Everything was doing great between the two until Gianna's Ex came into the picture. Though in different reason. But Beckett is just so all over himself especially his mother's new guy who also happens to be Gianna's dad that he just lashed out everything to her. He thought he was giving her a favor and doing the right thing, when in fact, he was hurting her for letting her go instead of being with her.
But the Beautification Committee of Blue Moon has a plan.
This book was laugh out loud hilarious and sexy, and sweet. The first few pages of the book were kinda slow. But it catches up. Clementine never fails to get hold of Jax's clothing, the tea party with the three Pierces brothers and Evan and of course the community meeting with the help of Evan, the Beautification Committee and the people of Blue Moon to help Beckett get Gianna back.

Lucy grew up in rural Pennsylvania with a lot of time on her hands and a big imagination. She was the oldest of three in a literary household. Dinners were often spent in silence while family members had their noses buried in books. A passion for writing took hold at five when she taught her brother to write his name on the bathroom door.
She started writing (on paper) in the second grade, first about pilgrims on the Mayflower and over the years graduated to essays, articles, blogs, and finally books.
Non-romance-writing jobs have included event planner, bartender, newspaper lackey, and yoga instructor.
Lucy and her boyfriend, Mr. Lucy, enjoy spending time with their ten nieces and nephews and are determined to learn to sail so they can live on a sailboat in the Caribbean someday.
